Okay, so it's been a tough year for muskmelons. My Armenian cucumbers (which were probably my top crop last year) have been really struggling. I think maybe they don't like rockdust or something (I didn't give them anything special last year, but I gave them stuff that the other muskmelons have historically liked, this year). Also, there's the sun this year (which has been very strong, or something), and/or possible herbicide drift (I didn't use the herbicide).
Honeycomb F1 started out doing the best. However, Torpeda is now the most prolific—producing quite a few beautiful fruit on one large plant. I didn't plant three plants per spot for this one (because I only got one to sprout).
I'm thinking next year I might just grow Torpeda and that's it, as far as muskmelons go (if it tastes good, and keeps it up).
