A young relative and I made salt dough ornaments. I still need to bake them (for two hours! on 250° F.) We used 4 cups of flour, 2 cups of salt, 2 cups of cold filtered water, ~10 minutes of kneading, ~20 minutes of resting, and yeah, we needed to eat—so, I still need to bake and paint them. I used a stainless steel chopstick to make the holes. You'll note there isn't one in the large angel, though. I used the recipe found here (but doubled): www.allrecipes.com/recipe/240641/salt-dough/

Okay, they're in the oven!
I think next time, instead of kneading the dough, I'll just put it in the KitchenAid mixer for a good while.
