I'm experimenting with zapping soil with seeds in it again (Spicy Globe Bush basil, this time), except this time I added bacteria afterward (L. Acidophilus and B. lactis), and I mostly just zapped the soil first to sterilize it (since it was partially outdoor soil), but also to see what effect it might have on the soil amendments that I added (monopotassium phosphate, calcium nitrate, copper sulfate, iron sulfate, zinc sulfate, and I think Epsom salt). Plus, it's easier to plant first and zap later with basil seeds, since they get sticky if you zap them first. I only used one frequency of my Z4EX, this time (2.5khz). I'm not sure how long I zapped the wet soil/seeds, but it was a number of minutes. Yes, I attempted this with peppers, before, with nothing much to report other than that it made the soil smell microbial, probably within a day or two after zapping. [HASH]electroculture [HASH]herb

Some of the seeds sprouted on Monday (or before). Here's a picture I took on Monday.
