On Monday, some of the neighbors helped me put Epsom salt on several of the plants. We added two tablespoons per gallon of water (and one gallon per plant, for most of the plants, anyway; I spread it thinner for the onions). That should help the plants tolerate heat and drought better (as happened with my alpine strawberries) which was the intention—in addition to increasing magnesium levels in the fruits). Hopefully it works out well.
We used the store brand from Walmart, which actually mentions using it in the garden.
