I thought this article was pretty interesting. I don't know how authoritative what it has to say is, but it has some cool information/ideas that to me are worth researching, and finally tells where you can get comprehensive hair mineral testing.
In summary, it speaks of a relationship between heavy metals, toxins in general, and lupus. It also mentions some potential causes of lupus, and some things that could potentially improve matters for people with lupus and high levels of toxins.
If you don't know what lupus is, it's an autoimmune condition where the body attacks itself. It can cause symptoms like fatigue, rashes, other skin issues, low-grade fever, hair-loss, light-sensitivity, pain, joint problems, arthritis, seizures, migraines, etc.
