So, our Allstar strawberry plant (we only bought one) produced a whole bunch of runners. I hear June bearing strawberries do that more than everbearing varieties. I decided to try removing them from the stems and rooting them in soil in foam cups indoors (Miracle Gro potting soil with wood ash added). Here's a picture (two of the containers contain multiple plants to root). Our strawberries are mulched in the strawberry patch, and I want more control over where I can transplant them.
