I talked about this a bit in my 2019 garden progress thread, but here's a picture of my Tresca strawberry seedlings that sprouted recently. There are at least six seedlings. I planted them in regular potting soil (not seed-starting mix), watered them, and froze the whole pot for about four hours in our big freezer. Then, I set it in the windowsill. A number of days later, one of them sprouted. I looked today and more had sprouted. I don't know if any sort of cold-treatment is important for Tresca.
