So, I was nauseous and getting sick (after a couple other people I had been around had been similarly sick). I felt like I needed to eat anyway, even though in my experience that generally led to more nausea and not less. I also had a headache and didn't feel very good.
So, I took my last two peanut butter, carob and fruit spread (mango lime chia) sandwiches and ate them with a glass of reconstituted milk, hoping for the best. To my astonishment, I started feeling better very quickly. The more I ate, the better I felt—which was quite the opposite of what I had known with the stomach flu. After I finished eating, I felt almost entirely better—except if I squinted, my eyes hurt a bit.
Now, I don't want to say the carob necessarily caused this effect—because there could be other causes, and of course for legal reasons (if that's illegal). However, I decided to look it up. See what that link says about nausea (search the page for nausea). WebMD just mentions its use for nausea with pregnant women, however. Also, isn't it amazing how much carob one tree can produce? 100 to 250lbs per year, producing for 100 years is extraordinarily awesome! They should breed cold hardy carob (and mesquite) for my region. Preferably, they should be bred to handle zone 4b.
Anyway, next time I feel nauseous, I'm planning to try it again.
