So, I grew some Purple Vienna Kohlrabi plants (a bunch in one seedling container), and transplanted them outside (without dividing them last year; I had been through a lot, and wanted to see how they did in a group like that). So, they lived, and grew. They didn't bulb until this year, in the spring. I've been eating the leaves, which are delicious. Anyway, I wanted to let you know about something I believe could be really good: Ingredients:
Purple Vienna kohlrabi greens Chives (as many as you have kohlrabi greens)
Mexican-style beans and/or refried beans and/or bean burritos Tajin seasoning (which is to say, salt, lime, and cayenne pepper) Mix it all together and eat. It tastes pretty nice. I tried it with burritos, anyhow, and I liked it. [HASH]recipe [HASH]chives [HASH]greens [HASH]bean [HASH]burrito

On Tuesdauy, I ate most of the kohrabi leaves. I noticed that it was about to go to seed. I ate the ends with the flower bud portions, though. We'll see if it keeps growing leaves.
