Sunroot sprouted far away from planting site

I experimentally transplanted this in the shade directly to the left of the cement corner, and look how far away it sprouted! It's perhaps over a foot and a half away. The sunroot is the one with four leaves (not the bigger one at the top).

Seeing how vigorously these are growing elsewhere in the garden, maybe I better dig it up and put it in a (large) container.
