This thread is for Quinault strawberry discussion.
Today, I harvested three Quinault strawberries, and mushed them up into the top of the soil in a container with fresh Miracle Gro potting soil. I put a bit of soil on top, and watered it. We'll see if/when they sprout. It's kind of warm; so, we'll see what happens.
As to the strawberries, they looked like they'd be a fair size a few days ago, but they started to shrivel/shrink for some reason. The soil pH must be too high or the soil might be salty (I gave them plenty of minerals; so, it's unlikely to be a standard deficiency). They were the first three berries. I would have liked to have tasted them, but I wanted to plant them, and they weren't in the best condition.
