I picked quite a few wonderberries, today. I decided it was time to try it with sugar, and have several people sample it. Here are the results:
* I thought it tasted like blueberries; on tasting it again, it was kind of like cherries, and definitely more acidic than blueberries.
* Taster #1 thought it was weird, and that the sugar didn't help.
* Taster #2 thought it tasted like watermelon candy.
* Taster #3 thought it tasted like a too sweet mixture of watermelon and blueberry.
* Taster #4 thought it tasted (and looked) like a really ripe kiwi. It should be noted that when crushed, you see a lot of seeds.
The only taster that didn't get a weird expression while tasting it (besides myself), I believe, was taster #2.
I get the impression it might taste better cooked into a pie to people.
