I got two ripe fruit from my RL, indeterminate, Husky Cherry Red F5, today (the one I transplanted with the main body of tomatoes). Guess what? It's golden yellow, this year! That's a first. The skin is translucent and you can see veins inside.
It tastes something like the Galapagos Island tomato (which is much different than it has ever tasted). Neither fruit split (and they didn't seem prone to that). I believe they're the same size they were last year.
I'm guessing it crossed with Sweet Orange Cherry or something last year, since most of the other yellow tomatoes would probably have changed the size, shape, the way the vines looked, or other traits. If it had crossed a previous year to last then I tend to think I would have noticed something in the flavor last year, although it could be a recessive taste, or a flavor tied to yellow fruit.
